For this head drawing ‘workout’, we’ll spend the morning investigating core drawing methodologies as applied to heads and faces. The focus will be on creating more successful representational portraits. We’ll look at a variety of options for continued study, such as observational and constructive approaches, and some different head drawing systems. During the session, we’ll also take time for practice, advice and Q&A.

The instructor will discuss different drawing mediums, including charcoal, conte, clutch/mechanical pencils, sharpening, etc., and give recommendations for which materials are best suited for developing specific skills

Attendees are encouraged to bring at minimum a 9x12 sketchbook and a variety of pens & pencils that they are comfortable drawing and taking notes with.

There is a refundable fee of $35 to register. This fee is refunded to participants after they attend the class.
